Connection Code

Our Year 9 offering is a foundational workshop to prepare students for their Tomorrow Woman & Tomorrow Man journeys. The workshop aims to improve empathy, strengthen the connection of the cohort, teaching the participants the skills of emotional maturity and giving them the confidence in connecting with others.

WHAT TO EXPECT

‘Connection Code’ explores how emotional immaturity, restrictive friendship cliques and fear of judgement can negatively impact a cohort.

This workshop creates a safe space for participants to practise connecting with others outside of their typical friendship groups. By doing so, they are able to expand their social circles, as well acknowledging and celebrating authenticity and individuality within the year level. They learn that judgement stops courage, but that by displaying courage, the fear of judgement dissipates.

What they say

"I feel more confident as I realised that others were also feeling the same as me, they also felt like they couldn’t connect but wanted to. I feel more confident in talking to others that I would not have previously. "

"I feel like I already knew who these people were, but never really understood them until now. I’ve never even had a proper conversation until today."

Face-to-face or via Zoom?

Both are equally impactful as our facilitators are also well-trained to engage online group settings – yes, even beyond those tech mishaps! Just ask.
